Series I Book 8: “Moose And The Children’s Toys” Author’s Discussion

by Ray Perseghin, Sara K Enterprises, ©All Rights Reserved

In this story, we attempt to show how the lack of appreciation for what you have can turn against you when greed and dishonesty are needed to achieve your result. The boy and girl in this story both enter into a pact of dishonesty, as they plan to explain the loss of their toys. This plan backfires when the animals find the toys and remove them from their hiding place. The lie has now become reality as the toys are donated to charity, where someone appreciates them.

This negative lesson now has a positive outcome and provides a valuable learning experience for the children, in the sharing of this gift with the less fortunate. Even as they are grieving their loss, the animal friends are teaching them an appreciation for the things that they have.

A key issue here is to realize, that as humans, we are born as positive beings. We know only love, acceptance, and happiness. We are taught to lie, cheat, and hate. In your discussions, do not dwell on the negative. While it is necessary to explain the negative behaviors of the children, we must look at the positive outcome that came from their action. There is a silver lining around every dark cloud.

Above all…Have Fun!
