Series I Book 3 : by Ray Perseghin, Sara K Enterprises, ©All Rights Reserved

One Moose, two geese, two penguins, three bears,

And snowman who smiles as they play with him there.

In the cold up north, in the fresh fallen snow,

With Walrus, their new friend, who goes where they go.

Nine playing friends and snowman makes ten

All looking fir new adventures again.

Around in a circle they all run and play,

Then Moose speaks up,” I have something to say.

We helped our friend walrus when he felt real sad,

But sometimes we all get the feelings he had.

Like we don’t fit in or we feel real low,

And we lose all of our get-up-and-go.

So I have a game that we can all play.

And all you need is something to say.

Someone go to the snowman and then sit down

And the rest of our circle will dance all around.

The as we pas around your way

We each will find something that’s nice to say.

Let’s start in the order that we made friends.”

So the geese jumped in and the game began.

Three bears were first to pass the geese by.

One said,”I like the way that you fly.”

Another said,” You can swim real good too.

I wish that I could swim just like you.”

The third said,”Hey! I like your smile.

And when you honk I can hear it a mile.”

Moose said, “I like when you are down

And join me as I danced around.”

Then as the Penguins waddled by

Said, “can you teach us to fly?”

And walrus came by and

To say, “thank you for being friends.”

Then penguins set by tall snowman

And said, “let’s all go around again.”

The geese were first to pass real slow,

And said, “We like your tuxedo.”

So as the game went on day,

They all had something nice to say.

And after they all took their turn,

Moose asked, “Now what did we all learn?”

The snowman smiled as they all thought

About what this new game had taught

Then walrus said, “I think I know.”

As they all stood there in the snow.

“Each one of us is not the same,

But that’s okay, ’cause in the game

It shows that we are special to,

And when you play, to just be you.

And when your friends pass by each day,

Always have something nice to say.”

Then as the snow began to fall,

Snowman just smiled goodbye to all.
